CABARET MAGIC ENTERTAINMENT
When you see the words “CABARET MAGIC”, there are a few words that may pop into your head. First word “Expensive”, next word “The Big Stage” Other things that may come to mind are “Ladies getting saw in half, swords going into boxes, white rabbits coming out of hats and doves disappearing”. The Cabaret Magic I do is none of the above nor is it expensive. My act is affordable, perfect for any small groups, clubs, care homes or even private parties.
The word “Cabaret” sounds too theatre-ish, if there is a word such as “Theartre-ish”. The word magicians like to use is “Parlour Magic”, which means “A small close up magic production” that is perfect anywhere, but for the big stage of Las Vegas. Parlour Magic is more intimate; there is plenty of audience participation, humour and most importantly, it is mind baffling!
My production is called “Into the Unknown World of the Impossible”. Maybe it is a mouthful of a title, but the title of my production is what it says on the tin. I start my production by respecting the audience’s perception of magic, as I’m fully aware that I have a wall of skeptics and cynics in front of me. I will get my audience to get their minds out of the “Child’s Play” mentality. Each piece of impossible act I do is like an experiment, but it is played in a theatre manner to make each “act” entertaining and humorous. There is a massive variation of magic to make the production more interesting and entertaining.
My production is ideal for all kind of events that is looking for something unusual. It goes down well in care homes, small clubs or organisations. Parlour Magic is even a hit in homes, where a small gathering are around a large table as I’m at the head of the table performing amazing close-up magic.
I’ve two formats. I can do a straight 55 minute show or 2 x 35 minute acts with an intermission/break half way. The latter format is the most popular for home productions, allowing a comfort break and a top-up of drinks. If you do book “Parlour Magic” midweek, it will be off peak-rates. Weekend Parlour Magic are prime time rates, (but affordable)
